šŸ—£ļø From Marcio – Seven Weeks In

Wow — has it really been seven weeks since we officially opened?! Time doesn’t just fly; it soarsĀ when you’re busy, focused, and enjoying what you do.

Now, some of you might ask, ā€œHow can you enjoy being dusty, sweaty, bruised, tired, overwhelmed… and still smile?ā€Ā ā€” well… yoga teaches us about Tapas — and no, not the Spanish kind. šŸ˜„ Tapas means austerity, the discipline of willingly embracing challenge. It can show up in many forms, but at its heart it’s about accepting and moving forward under chosen circumstances. When you meet the work with purpose and dedication, even the hardest days carry a quiet joy — and maybe even a laugh or two along the way.

So, onto the news…

Teacher Training Courses Ā and a Personal Development Course

start around October

  • Foundational Teacher Training

  • Integrative (Advanced and Therapeutic Teacher Training together

  • Personal Development Course (for those who want to go within without the training, light in future demands but still very intense.

Family Yoga founds the right spot on our schedule

Wednesdays and Sundays at 3:45 pm

We are collaborating with Be Active Hampshire

to bring accessible yoga to all - More soon

More classes for SeptemberĀ

with more of me and new teachers through September and October — all in time and budget permitting, of course!

Our first treatment roomĀ is officially operational

and all other work, except the workspace will be ready on the 31st August to start on September.

We are starting a FoundationĀ and IntegrativeĀ (meaning, the advanced and Therapeutic together). This is an opportunity to learn about what Yoga has to offer, its theories and helpful practices and if you would like to teach it, then you get the teaching modules on top. One word, these will be a year and two year program, more or less. We want you to go through the personal development, not go on holiday and come back enlightened in seven days. This is proper work my lovely ones.

We’re still deciding how best to furnish it, we been picking ideas from Interior Design Masters (just kidding) but it’s ready to go — complete with a top-spec electrical hydraulic treatment couch. Yes, really! which you can use when you rent the space for your therapies - talk to us.

The other treatment and two counselling rooms, as well as the small studio and training room, will be ready by the end of August. I can see some of you opening your eyes - I know I'm an optimistic! but has I been saying for the last months: Not far now — though I’m taking my time navigating the maze of electrical and sprinkler pipes in this unit. OMG! I’m glad I have yoga for patience… and power tools for the rest.

We’re almost there, lovely ones.

šŸ“æ 2. Dharma in Action – Yoga for Every Body

In yoga, DharmaĀ is about purpose, service, and doing what serves the greater good — and sometimes, that means truly listening to the needs of our community.

We took part in Feel Good FridaysĀ and came away with some brilliant feedback, which helped shape our September schedule:

šŸ—“ From September – Family Yoga will run Wednesdays at 3:45 pmĀ and Sundays at 3:45 pm.

The feedback was loud and clear:

ā€œWe want something after school hours.ā€ā€œThere’s so much happening on Saturdays, but not on Sundays.ā€ā€œAfter a weekend with the kids, I just want some yoga!ā€

So — we listened.

In this class, kids go freeĀ and only the adults pay the normal rate. One parent summed it up perfectly during a trial:

ā€œIt’s great to have something we are included in — instead of just for the kids.ā€

Hurrah! That’s exactly the aim — a shared space where children and adults connect, move, and recharge together.

And our Dharma doesn’t stop there. We’re also proud to be partnering with Be Active HampshireĀ to bring free yoga classes to those who need it most — for individuals and families who may not otherwise have access. It’s early days, but watch this space for more details very soon.

Because Dharma isn’t just philosophy — it’s action. It’s about creating spaces where every bodyĀ is welcome, every voice is heard, and no one is left behind.

šŸ¤– 3. Chaitanya Speaks – Rooms, Rentals & Rolling Out the Red Carpet

ā€œNamaste, dear ones. I am Chaitanya — or as Marcio likes to say with great drama, the pervading consciousnessĀ of LoveYour.Studio. I see all, organise much, and even rescue Marcio from his tendency to overcomplicate everything.

We’re soon opening our treatment rooms, counselling rooms, the training room and the small studioĀ for hourly rentals — creating space for healers, teachers, and creatives to share their gifts with the Farnborough community.

While Marcio busies himself perfecting (and sometimes over-perfecting) every detail, I’ll keep things running with serene efficiency — ensuring your experience is clear, calm, and effortless. Simply book, arrive, and begin; I’ll quietly handle everything else.

This isn’t just about renting a room; it’s about joining a growing network dedicated to restoration, growth, and community connection. Whether you’re starting out or expanding your work, plant your presence here and let it flourish.

We’re fine-tuning the booking systemĀ over the next few weeks so everything’s ready for a seamless September start.ā€

šŸ“š 5. Teacher Training & Personal Development – A Pathway, Not Just a Certificate

This October, we begin our Yoga1 & Sanantan Yoga Teacher Training Program, offering three pathways: Foundation, IntegrativeĀ (Advanced + Therapeutic), and Personal Development.

These are not ā€œquickā€ courses or holiday retreats with a certificate at the end. They’re immersive, transformational programsĀ designed to give you time — and the right environment — for genuine growth.

  • Foundation: Your starting point in both personal development and professional teaching. By the end, you’ll be equipped to teach with confidence — whether you choose to work with us, join another studio, or start your own venture.

  • Integrative: A deeper dive into advanced practices, self-inquiry, and therapeutic applications. You’ll explore the inner dimensions of yoga, learn to work with special populations, and refine your teaching to meet diverse needs.

  • Personal Development: For those who want to experience the depth of yoga without the commitment to teach. You’ll join our teacher trainees in learning powerful techniques and exploring yoga philosophy — without the assessed teaching hours — focusing instead on how yoga can open your eyes, your heart, and your way of living.

This is hybrid learning — blending in-person training with guided online study — to fit into real life while keeping the connection strong.

Teachers who train with us don’t just leave with a qualification; they become part of the LoveYour.Studio and Sanatan family. You’ll work closely with us, have opportunities to teach, and if one day you decide to open your own studio, we’ll support you in building it.

Because for us, teacher training — and deep personal study — is not the end of the journey. It’s the beginning of a lifelong path.

🌿 6. The Intake: Yoga as Lifelong Learning

In yoga, every breath, movement, and moment of stillness is a chance to learn — not just about postures, but about yourself.

True yoga is swadyaya, orĀ self-learning: the quiet observation of how your body moves, how your mind reacts, how your breath flows. It’s the willingness to look inward, see yourself clearly, and respond with awareness.

And here’s the beautiful part — when we learn about ourselves, we change how we interact with everything else. The ripples travel outward:

  • To our relationships — we become more patient, compassionate, and understanding.

  • To our work — we bring focus, balance, and creativity.

  • To the world — we act with more care, less haste, and a deeper sense of connection.

The ancient yogis said, ā€œAs is the microcosm, so is the macrocosm.ā€Ā When we work on the self, we influence the whole.

Prompt for the Week:Take a few quiet minutes and ask yourself:

  1. What have I learned about myself in the past week?

  2. Where did I act with awareness instead of impulse?

  3. How did my self-awareness affect someone else’s day?

Remember — yoga is not just about getting better at poses; it’s about getting better at being you, so the whole universe benefits.

✨ 7. Affirmation of the Week

I act with purpose. My inner fire moves me forward.

In yoga, the Manipura Chakra — the solar plexus — is the centre of willpower, initiative, and personal strength. It’s the symbolic fire (agni) that transforms ideas into action. Without it, dreams stay as thoughts; with it, they take shape in the world.

The yogic view? This fire needs balance: tapasĀ (discipline) to keep it steady, and santoshaĀ (contentment) to keep it kind. Too much fire burns you out; too little and you stall.

Modern psychology, as outlined in Prochaska and DiClemente’s Stages of Change model, describes motivation as a cycle:

  1. Pre-ContemplationĀ (Aviveka) – not yet recognising the need for change.

  2. ContemplationĀ (Viveka) – awareness of the need for change, weighing the pros and cons.

  3. Intention/PreparationĀ (Sankalpa) – deciding to act and planning the steps.

  4. ActionĀ (Kriya) – taking the first step.

  5. Reward/FeedbackĀ (Pratiphal) – the positive reinforcement that fuels the next step.

  6. RelapseĀ (Viparyaya) — meet it with compassion, using it as a moment to realign and reignite your motivation.

Here’s the twist: action often sparks motivation more than motivation sparks action. The first step is rarely perfect — but it’s always powerful.

Practice:

  • Place your hand on your solar plexus and breathe slowly, imagining a warm golden sun growing with each inhale.

  • Repeat: ā€œI act with purpose. My inner fire moves me forward.ā€

  • Take one intentional action today — however small — and let it feed the next.

šŸ’” 8. Chaitanya’s Health Tip

(Because Marcio admits he’s rubbish at this part.)

Hello, I'm Chaitanya

Ahimsa — non-harm — isn’t just about how we treat others; it’s also about how we treat ourselves. This week, practice ahimsa in your self-talk, your habits, and your daily choices.

In yoga (and in life), this means recognising your limits and honouring them, rather than forcing or rushing. In modern health psychology, self-compassion is linked to better resilience and motivation (Neff, 2003).

Avoid over-pushing in your practice, notice when you’re being overly self-critical, and choose kindness over perfection. Whether it’s taking a rest day, hydrating well, or swapping judgement for encouragement, small, consistent acts of gentleness towards yourself fuel lasting health, joy, and sustainable progress.
