Week -4: 9th–15th June 2025
Countdown to Opening Week (Week 0: 7–13 July, 2025)
✨ Counting Down to Zero
Why minus four? Because Week 0 is coming — our official opening week — and we’re counting backward toward it with purpose (and joy).
After all, zero was an Indian invention — not just a number, but a whole concept: the beautiful śūnya, the sacred nothing that makes everything possible — the potential.
Like yoga, sometimes we pause before we begin. Sometimes, we go inward before we expand.
🔔 This Week at LoveYour.Studio
🎉 Megan taught her first class!

A big thank you to Megan and the wonderful students who joined. We’re thrilled to see the teaching community grow.
Megan will now be teaching every Thursday at 18:15 — come and practice with her!
✅ New Feature Article:
👉 "Yoga Is Not a Game — and Your Worth Is Not a Number"
This bold piece explores our decision to remove performance tracking from our app, and how we’re creating space for presence, not pressure.
📅 Back to our regular class schedule
(Well, mostly!) Check the app for updates — things are still evolving as we fine-tune the soft launch.
You'll notice the schedule currently features a lot of Marcio — that's part of our bootstrapping charm! Other teachers are joining soon, and eventually Marcio will retire with exhaustion (thankfully, he does yoga...).

🪑 NEW: Chair Yoga added!
Thursdays at 10:30am — gentle, empowering, and inclusive.
We’re not supposed to have favourites… but we have to say this class brings us real joy. The determination, the atmosphere of community, and the love shared in the room are something special. We’re adding more of these sessions so others can benefit too.
🍵 LoveYour.Studio Weekly Summary - Life Updates

🧱 We’ve added new walls (yep, literally). The work continues — right now we’re crafting your magnificent entrance and workspace ceiling. Trust us: it’s going to be prettier than the Sistine Chapel (or at least, a solid runner-up in the Yogic Ceiling Category). Expect more brushstrokes of joy soon!
And in the process, Prajnānanda conquered his fear of heights. 🧗🏽 Forced exposure therapy, yogic edition! (Thankfully he practices savāsana between ladder climbs.)
💡 Electricians are wrapping up, and the ceiling tower is up — preparing for our perfectly imperfect blue-sky ceiling. It may not beat the Sistine Chapel, but it will absolutely lift the spirit.

🫶 Studio attendance is growing — and what’s moved us most are those who’ve said they couldn’t afford yoga before. Our £5 class promotion is making yoga more accessible, and we’re now actively developing permanent subsidised offerings as part of our commitment to equity and inclusion.
Thank you for showing up, spreading the word, and helping us build something meaningful.
🧠 Wisdom in Practice

Theme of the Week: “I’m Enough” – Moksha (liberation) from Co-Dependency
Whether you’ve shown up on the mat, paused to journal, or finally rested in a world screaming “go!” — that, too, is growth.
Personal development isn’t indulgent. It’s timely.
With that in mind, we've curated a range of classes to meet different needs — and they’re named just as they feel: Arambha (Start), Sukham (Comfortable), Kriyā (Movement), Āsana (Postures), and Vīrya (Vigorous).
🌍 The Intake
Understanding Food & Lifestyle in Yoga
In yogic thought, wellness is not just what we eat (āhāra) but how we live (vihāra), how we act (ācāra), and what we expose our minds to (vicāra).
This week’s gentle prompt:

“Notice how your food, sleep, screen time, and social input affect your energy, breath, and clarity.”
No guilt. Just observation. We’ll explore these four pillars more in upcoming posts and workshops.
🪷 Affirmation of the Week
“I honour where I am. I grow from where I stand.”
Use it after class, during journaling, or in that moment between inbox and overwhelm.
🧑🏽⚕️ Yogic Counsellor's Corner
Yoga as an Integrative Psychology
Did you know that yoga is more than physical movement? Yoga is an integrative school of thought where our relationships — with others, with ourselves, and with existence — are central.
You may be surprised to know that yoga contains the essence of all the so-called "rival schools" of modern psychology in one!
Psychodynamic depth? ✔️
Humanistic presence? ✔️
Cognitive and behavioural awareness? ✔️
We’ll explore how yoga unites — rather than competes with — modern psychological models. While modern therapy debates CBT vs. Freud, yoga whispered long ago: Union is stronger than rivalry.
More on this in upcoming sessions and reflections... and yes, Mr Freud — we see you. 🧘🏽♂️

🧴 Chaitanya’s Self-Care Tip
(Because Marcio admits he’s rubbish at this part.)
Feeling tired after class? Try a warm castor oil belly rub.Seriously — it’s an Ayurvedic classic for digestion, relaxation, and grounding.

🌟 Testimonial Spotlight
“In 2016, I was told by an orthopaedic consultant that I needed a knee replacement. I was receiving steroid injections. Since starting yoga, my muscles are stronger and support my joints. I no longer need the injections — and haven’t needed surgery.”
