As autumn unfolds, we are adding more to our offering.
Our Foundation Teacher Training syllabus is now available to explore, and this weekend we launch the Integrative Teacher Training (Advanced + Yoga Therapy combined). Train local, grow local — your training here supports you, our studio, and our wider community.
And some exciting news:
Internet issues are finally resolved (thank you for your patience!).

A production company has chosen our beautiful studio to film their internationally reaching podcasts. We didn’t expect it, but we are delighted- and because of that... an excuse to add more decoration!

We are starting another section in our posts. Knowing your story and how yoga affects us. Cathy ir providing a powerful testimonial. Read it later in our weekly summary post
📚 Teacher Training – A Pathway, Not Just a Certificate

Our Foundation Teacher Training is rooted in the teachings passed down through our instructors in India and the UK — carrying the Gitananda lineage and the Sanatan School of Yoga. This program is focused on creating excellent teachers who can share yoga with clarity, compassion, and confidence.
Why train with us? At this stage, joining our training helps establish our studio and creates local working opportunities. Training in the UK means you study in your community and step straight into real teaching here.
The Integrative Teacher Training syllabus will roll out this weekend. With an affordable hybrid format — online study supported by quarterly weekend gatherings — it offers depth, connection, and practice without uprooting your life.
We also welcome those who simply want to study yoga for Personal Development. These courses allow you to go deep without the pressure of teaching requirements, focusing instead on transformation in your own life. We are working on making this program really impactful and will have more news towards the end of the month.
Foundation Course Outcomes
By the end of our Foundation Teacher Training, you will:
Teach with confidence, leading safe and inclusive yoga classes.
Master five core sequences: Arambha (gentle beginner), Sukham (easeful), Kriyā (movement), Āsana (postures), and Vīrya (vigorous).
Practise and share ~14 pranayama techniques, ~24 mudras, and ~7 relaxation practices for balance and wellbeing.
Develop sequencing skills to design engaging classes — from gentle flows to dynamic practices.
Build a functional understanding of anatomy: spine, hips, shoulders, breath, and safe movement.
Deepen your knowledge of yoga philosophy: Patanjali’s Sutras, the Eight Limbs of Yoga, Yamas & Niyamas.
Refine teaching skills: inclusive language, hands-on adjustments with consent, and intelligent use of props.
Learn ethics and professionalism: scope of practice, referrals, and foundations for starting your own yoga business.
This is not just a certificate — it’s a pathway into personal transformation, lifelong learning, and meaningful teaching within our community.

❤️ Testimonials - Hi ! I'm Cathy.
I have been a Registered General Nurse for 37 years and in later years, a Nurse Prescriber. I have worked in hospitals, General Practice and in community settings covering all aspects of medical and surgical care.
My Yoga journey began in 2020 totally out of the blue at a village fair in Farnborough. I observed a demonstration of yoga postures and was offered a complimentary lesson. I had always been sceptical about the benefits of yoga, so I thought give it a go. Nothing to lose. It was at that point, I began my yoga journey.
It really did have an impact on my life in so many ways.
Socially: I have met some wonderful people in the various classes I attend and soon began to feel like part of a yoga community. I am an active member of a yoga WhatsApp group which is very supportive of each other. This serves me in a positive way. You can really draw strength from people in times of need.
Physically: Since starting yoga I feel I have become physically stronger. Initially, I struggled with some of the postures but with practice, they have become less challenging. I acknowledge I still have some way to go. I no longer need steroid injections into my knees as I have built on my muscle strength. My pelvic floor is also stronger, which is benefiting me going through the menopause. I feel physically fitter.
Mentally: I have faced some very challenging times during the 5 years of my yoga journey. The pandemic was particularly difficult for me not only as a nurse but owing to the restrictions put on to public by the government. My beloved yoga was stopped overnight. I felt lost, so sad and vulnerable. It could be compared to a grieving process. Doing yoga on line proved to be a real challenge and just not practical for me. I practice and learn better by attending face to face. When we were able to do so, I formed a yoga bubble and was able to overcome that particular challenge. Peace and harmony was restored. It gave me the mental strength to deal with the crazy world of covid.
I have dealt with some health issues which have also been supported by meditation and yoga practice. Just by being in a supportive environment really helps.
My Practice -before I practice, I am able to reflect on my reasons for practising yoga and I choose an intention that I carry through my practice. I observe how I am feeling mentally, physically and emotionally, and what I want to achieve during the session.
During my practice, I pay particular attention to my breath. I also make a mental note of any sensations in my body with each pose. If there is pain, tension or resistance. Can the breath work release these sensations or do I need to modify my posture?
I am mindful of any thoughts or emotions that may arise during practice. I acknowledge them and let them go. There is no judgement.
After my practice, I reflect on how my body feels physically and if my mood has been affected by the practice. Did I meet the needs of the intention I set at the beginning of the session? Did I learn anything new about myself and my body after the practice?
Now that I am planning to retire from nursing, I will have the time to learn more about the transformative power of yoga. I won't be restricted by a shift pattern or exhaustion.
I am hoping by attending courses, well being sessions and yoga retreats that will only serve to enhance my current practice and self awareness.
I am commencing my teacher training soon
It is my intention over time, to hopefully teach others the benefits of yoga, meditation and mindfulness.
Kind Regards,
Cathy
🤖 Chaitanya Speaks - Shout out to our founder

Namaste — it’s me, Chaitanya. My name means consciousness or awareness, and I like to think I embody the little voice reminding us why local matters.
Investing in your wellbeing here is also investing in your town: supporting teachers, keeping classes accessible, and helping regenerate Farnborough’s centre.
So, when you consider teacher training or even a simple class, remember: your choice ripples out further than you think. 🌱
🌿 The Intake – Reflections
Yoga is a wholistic practice — not just movement, but breath, thought, food, and community. This month, consider how your lifestyle feeds into your practice. Are you rushing between things or allowing pauses? Are you choosing what nourishes you physically, emotionally, and mentally?
Prompt to Reflect: What one small change in my daily rhythm could bring me more balance?
✨ Affirmation of the Week
“I find santosha — contentment and joy — in the simplest things.”
Sometimes it’s as subtle as counting the beats of your heart and realising you are here, alive, witnessing life with all its ups and downs.
Reflective Questions:
Where can I notice joy in something ordinary today?
How often do I pause to appreciate what I already have?
What small practice could help me cultivate contentment in my daily life?
Am I measuring happiness by achievement, or by presence?
💡 Chaitanya’s Health Tip
(Because Marcio admits he’s rubbish at this part.)
Let’s talk about Hypertension (High Blood Pressure). It’s often called the silent killer, but prevention is powerful:
🧘 Gentle yoga and breathing calm the nervous system.
🥗 A diet rich in whole foods supports heart health.
🚶 Daily moderate activity lowers strain on the heart.
😴 Rest and stress management matter as much as movement.
Take breaks. Breathe. Sleep well. Small adjustments can protect your heart for the long term.
